Chitwan Wildlife

Fly from Kathmandu to Chitwan 5 to 6 hrs

A short drive on the scenic winding roads take us to Chitwan. We start early (around 6/7 am) in the morning from Kathmandu and reach on time to have lunch.

Orientation and cultural experience

After lunch, spend leisure time in the simple and unique Sapana Village Lodge. We head on a short jungle or village walk with the chain-free elephants to the river bank later in the afternoon. Watching these majestic creatures playing and enjoying in the river is a very humbling experience.

Wildlife river safari on a canoe 2 hrs

We start our day early and head out for a mesmerizing canoe ride on a dugout. Enjoy birdwatching and look out for crocodiles as you enjoy silence and unmatched serenity.

Jungle safari on jeep and on foot 3 to 4 hrs

Later in the day, we head to the lush jungles and marshlands of Chitwan National Park on a jeep and foot safari. This half day safari is great for experiencing wildlife and there's a high chance you will spot a rhino.

Fly from Chitwan to Kathmandu

Fly from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur Airport, Chitwan 20 mins

A short and scenic flight from Kathmandu takes us to the gorgeous National Park district of Chitwan. We start early (around 8 am) in the morning from Kathmandu.

Drive from airport to Barahi Jungle Lodge 1 hrs

Boat safari (afternoon) with Sundowner at confluence point 2 hrs

Floating downstream the Rapti River, towards the western boundary of the park formed by Himalayan Narayani, boat safari will be arranged for evening time offering our unique sundowner experience at the confluence point. (Note: These activities are combined with the hotel guests)

Tharu Cultural dance OR Kumal Cultural Dance:

Farmers of the nearby villages will show some of their traditional skills and dances

Jeep Safari with Breakfast in the jungle 3.5 to 4 hrs

Proceed for the Jeep Safari crossing the Rapti River by Patela Boat to start with from Bhimle army check post. There are two choices of routes available, which our naturalists pick upon their experience on current sightings and animal movement. (Note: These activities are combined with the hotel guests)

Drive to Tiger Tops Tharu Lodge 30 mins

After lunch, we drive to Tiger Tops Tharu Lodge for a unique experience.

Elephant river walk and bathing with sundowner

End your day by the bank of the Narayani river watching one of Nepal's famous sunsets. Here the elephants will be let loose to cool down in the water and relax, while our bar staff are on hand with cold drinks of your choice.

Leisure morning

This morning, you have an option to go for a birdwatching hike in the community forest with our naturalist or go for a lovely village tour in the Tharu villages. Tharus are the indigenous tribe dominating the Terai lands and with a very interesting culture and way of living.

Drive from Tharu lodge to Airport 1.5 hrs

After breakfast, we drive back to Bharatpur airport.

Afternoon flight back to Kathmandu 20 mins

After lunch, spend leisure time in the simple and unique Sapana Village Lodge. In the afternoon, there will be a there village orientation walk, followed by Tharu stick dance program in the evening.

Canoe ride with jungle walk 2 to 3 hrs

We hop on a dugout canoe early morning and enjoy a serene and calming ride. After the ride, you will go for a short jungle walk.

Jungle safari on jeep 4 to 5 hrs

Today, we head to the lush jungles and marshlands of Chitwan National Park on a jeep. This is a great opportunity to encounter the rich wildlife of Chitwan, including birds, mammals and reptiles. We will head back to the lodge later in the evening.

Sunrise Elephant Bush Walk and breakfast with elephants

We go for a w=bush walk with the elephants and have breakfast alfresco in a beautiful setup. It will be followed by feeding the elephants with fruits and vegetable baskets.

Half day jeep safari 3 to 4 hrs

Bird watching in the evening (afternoon) 1 hr

In the afternoon, you will go for a bird watching tour in the jungle.

Fly from Chitwan to Kathmandu

After breakfast, we drive to the airport and ctach a flight back to Kathmandu.
